Production November
Milk production in the 23 major States during November
totaled 14.0 billion pounds, up 1.4% from November of
2007. October revised production at 14.4 billion pounds,
was up 1.6% from October 2007. the October revision
represented an increase of 16 million pounds or 0.1%
from last month’s preliminary production estimate.
Production per cow in the 23 major States averaged
1,657 pounds for November 2008, 3 pounds above November
2007.
